About

Hey everybody,

I just wanted to tell you a little about myself. I was born in California and moved to Panama, Central America when I was about five.

My family and I worked at a medical mission as missionaries for about four years until we came back to California. Before we left the states I remember drinking cream soda with my aunt Jan.

I still remember her gently teased hair and great taste in Rock & Roll. It was her that caused some of my favorite childhood memories. I loved looking through old pictures of her as a teen dressed to the nines in her swing attire.

My great aunt Katherine’s year book is the best with the 40’s fashion and amazing cars. With all this family history I have become astonished with the simplicity of the era. I love watching Audrey Hepburn’s Breakfast at Tiffany’s or season after season of I love Lucy and the Andy Griffith Show.

It seemed like the days were simple and the people were kind. These were things I loved all of my life but only last year did I become obsessed with the lifestyle.

Slowly I have replaced my wardrobe with clothing from or representing the era. I have achieved a permanent tease in my hair and my lips are stained red. I even have pill box hats that remind me of Jacqueline Kennedy. My playlists have changed to Elvis, Buddy Holly and Chuck Berry just to name a few. But……. Let’s not forget the Beach Boys and the Supremes.

I am saving for my dream of owning a 1957 white convertible       T-bird.

I have absolutely fallen in love with pinup. My favorite of course being the “Queen of Pinup” Bettie Page. I also love the Elvgren pinups and how they are so silly and cute. But don’t think for a second that Marilyn hasn’t found her way into my heart.

My modern favorites include of course “the amazing” Cherry Doll Face and “the beautiful” Tess Munster.

Thank you all for being interested in a little bit of my life.

 God bless!      1 Corinthians 13:4-7
